Party Hearty Baby
Oh Lordy Lordy Lordy on St. Patrick's Day
If you don't have all that very much to say
Take your friends out for some green beer
And all that ready made cheer
Oh Lordy Lordy Lordy on St. Patrick's Day
Make it that special day to celebrate and play
Let live and relive memories of yesteryear
As you're drinking pint after pint of Guinness beer
Oh Lordy Lordy Lordy on St. Patrick's Day
Time-out on this wonderful day for lots of play
With special friends you find so dear
Drinking more and more Guinness beer
Oh Lordy Lordy Lordy on St. Patrick's Day
Listening to Danny Boy and Frank's My Way
Dancing the night away to Wasn't That A Party
And singing the rollicking tunes of Great Big Sea
Oh Lordy Lordy Lordy on St. Patrick's Day
Finding them beautiful lassies with whom to sway
Ordering round after round of Jameson whiskey
Searching for those with whom you wanna be frisky
Oh Lordy Lordy Lordy on St. Patrick's Day
Thinking about St. Patrick and what he might say:
Life is full of struggles and come what may
All work and no play will not make your day

When The Saints Go Marching In what will they have to say:
New Orleans' Mardi Gras is always so much fun
And Brazil's Carnival...more hot fun in the sun

Love the sentiment of this poem. I can remember nights like that when I was working in a pub in South Wales. We had couple of Irish families in the village and the weekends were always happy and full of song. 10+

Being Irish of course i love this poem. Though it feels more like a song. A lively song that makes me want to leap up and dance a jig across the kitchen floor. Oh Lordy and i have not even had a drink.Good one Richard
