Party Days Poem by Felicia Manning

Party Days

Life is now,
One moment bleeding into the next,
I could careless about time,
When I smoke cigarettes,
And party,
And drink,
And do drugs,
Til my brain cannot think.
I love life,
I'm addicted,
Goodbye life,
I'm addicted.
My moments depleted,
For cheap poisons,
I was cheated.
I was warned,
I didn't care,
About time or myself,
My future or my health,
And now it's too late,
I've surpassed the limit,
To the consequences of my actions,
I must now submit.

My party days were in my youth which was misspent in your very city. In that condition days sadly became years - it was awful and I feel your residual pain.

You or your machine was careless when you typed the 3rd line. :) You made this up? Liked it, as a poem. :) bri
