Part Of Your World Poem by Andrus Cassian

Part Of Your World

Rating: 5.0

Shallow seas swam standing, running through ripples
exploring exponentially an endless trickle
call it normalcy, why can't it be real
Normalcy, isn't irony what's normal is only subjective, an objective
instead of something tangible, eligible for all comers
though normal is absent, not a constant
What's real is weird
constructed construed, critical, not constituted
yet that's what they deem marriage, a constitution
When did love become similar to a written contract of promises guidelines, rules to be ignored, never kept, broken, bent
When did love transform from bold gestures and grand design
welcome for all to receive
to only free for those with valid invitations
A lose lose situation
I stand on two feet same as you, I'm no different from you
I speak the same language as you
so why do I feel so trapped in my skin
like I don't belong on land
Should I just hide my stance in a rock and roll band
Why don't you get me
I say to no one here but can you feel me there
This window breathes no air of comfort
for all I wish is to be out there in the air, flying like a comet
fast and free, no one to judge me
No one to say, no one to scream
rip me from my origin of being a human being
condemn me to hell, cause my heart to swell with tears
I refuse to let fell for if I do then I can say I fail
cast a veil, hit evil with this pail I water my garden with
my garden grows cause no one knows how hard it is
to be someone who shows what love truly is
but is denied what is truly bliss
All because from all that I see, from all that could be
I don't love a she, I'm in love with a he
who has shown sign of love for me
So excuse me Barry, says me Harry
I don't wish to be anything else
I don't wish to be a part of society
I only wish to be me
I don't want to be a part of your world
