Pardon My Analogy Poem by Andrus Cassian

Pardon My Analogy

Will you stay awake for me
for a little while longer
The feeling of being out of reach
don't need to let it consume me
just perform a catch and release
of all my fear inside
Yes, I can see
Yes, I can breathe
but no, I'm not strong enough
My mistakes, my flaws
yes, I can see I'm messing up
Pardon me
pardon my analogy of my confused theory
of falling on my face
They say love is patient and love is kind
they also say love makes you blind
is that the reason for my blindness
to all the things I can't find
Am I changing
Don't confuse my analogy
with useless commentary
from a heart made of glass
Don't allow emotions to pass
Just look in these eyes
and see the peace inside, within the heart which resides...
