mental confusion
shaking uncontrollably
panic and fear

like an electric current
that racks my body in pain

trying to focus
to remain steady, keep calm
but to no avail

everyday it gets worse
as it comes in waves and bursts

is it an earthquake
that rumbles through this flesh
rattling these bones

shock after shock after shock
another blitzkrieg attack

but nowhere to run
one cannot escape oneself
though maybe in death
