Paper Anniversary Poem by Wood Nymph

Paper Anniversary

Rating: 4.5

Fluttering dove-like to the ground
Two names upon, the nuptials sealed,
To all the union's revealed,
The chattels shared ‘twixt bodies found.

What worth this tissue sheer of lies,
Veil for convenience or lust,
The harem screen for those who trust
Transparency is not denied?

And after one full year has passed
In gaiety matrimonial,
This union so cerebral
Deserving of a paper heart.
