Panem Et Circenses Poem by Ramona Thompson

Panem Et Circenses

Panem et circenses
Bread and circus games
I have no time for either
The poor ones I toss away without a care
The silly ones I ignore
Toss my head and prance away
Like the stallion I am
So much better and so far above all those others around me
It is not even funny
Middle class I may be
Neither rich nor penninless
Still how can you even begin to deny
I am truely a god among men
Bestowed with an invisable crown of priceless jewels
A king
Never a fool nor a tool
I am tottally like the next coming of Jesus Christ
As I walk among these mere peasants
Imparting my glory and my wisdom surpreme
As their mouths hang agape and their eyes fill
Leaving them all wishing that like me they too had more in their lives then just
Panem et circenses
