Pagtangis Ng Lupa Ni Juan (The Cry Of Juan's Nation) Poem by Paolo Dela Cruz

Pagtangis Ng Lupa Ni Juan (The Cry Of Juan's Nation)

Let the steam of our minds pollute the air
And bite the hands that's stopping our hearts to speak out
Our country is once again in agony and despair
That needs help of everyone, to get through this drought

Spread the truth for it is needed to be said
Step up and wear the colors of righteousness
Sing the songs about the children suffering and misled
To wake up the patriot that slumbers in our subconsciousness

Let the battle drums roar with our pen
With our ideas, we can seize this deftness that's upon us
Our small hands can help mold this world
To stand tall against oppression and discrimination

We as the children of our nation, we must lead
For the minds of the old are diluted with power and corruption
As an individual, our cries are not easily heard
But together, our cries can help save our abused nation

On the front lines of war we shall lead
Like our brave forefathers did
With knowledge as our sword and faith as our shield
We shall slay the tyrant even if it takes for our bodies to bleed!
