Pages In Life Poem by Felix Luck

Pages In Life

Rating: 2.0

As I lie here making attempts
At your letter
Always thoughts of you
Jump to mind

How will you react?
Will you burn the page?
Hate me or never talk to me?
You have managed to read it so far.

Will you continue yet you know were its going?
Do you want to even know?
Imagine,
it would be so easy,
Set the paper alight
I know I almost did

The flames flit and dance with joy
Burning another page in my life
Erasing the evidence
Was it ever there at all?

The price of a memory is
The sorrow
Remembrance brings
Tell me what I'm supposed to do
I no longer know.
The past is something
We can't undo...
