As my eyes met yours
My head was a swirl
Of emotions and feelings
To which I did not
Know the meaning
I wanted to say something
But I could think of nothing
Other than those eyes
They left me nowhere to hide
They had me so hypnotised
As we sat there
I took your hand in mine
It felt as if I was high
On cloud number nine
I never thought
Life could be so kind
To give me such
A gift as you
You have me so hypnotised
Oh how my heart did lift
I pulled you close
Into a soft embrace
My fingers laced
within yours
I have no need for wishes
Who could ask for anything more,
it should be against the law
You had me so hypnotised
You ignore my flaws
Yet were are yours
The sky begins to pale
And the light slowly fails
My soul is as high as a kite
But Why?
This is no lie
If it were would it die?
This must be love
Its such a lust
It has me so hypnotised
Its dark now
And the stars dance like firefly's upon the blackened night sky
The moon gives off a shallow shine
Dimmed by the glint in your eyes that envelops all things
They give away nothing
They seem to know everything
I was so hypnotised
We lay there
Your head upon my chest
Your smile at its best
My heart stripped bear
You had not a fear
It is only us here
Lying beneath
The starlight
We were so hypnotised
