Overdue Poem by charles carrelli

Overdue

I’m afraid of your love babe, afraid that you love me.
When heaven was calling I couldn’t help but stall them.
Cause just one look at you and I knew that I loved you.

Because when the reaper started calling, I started to follow him.
The further I walked away from you the more I knew my love was true

Somewhere along the lines of time destiny will be yours and mine.
Some how fate will bring us together one more time, and this time
I hope I can tell you
Oh I hope I can tell you. How much you mean to me

How important you are to me, how you bring me to my knees.
Surround me with everything I need, because all that I need is for us to be
Together long enough for me to say that I love you, oh how I love you.
Even right now my hearts in a flutter, my tung keeps a stutter.
But I don’t know how to finish something I never begun.

All I want to be is everything you ever need.
Just want to hold you and never let go.
A borderline obsession, another mist confession.
Now I only find you in my dreams, and when I wake up
I rush back to sleep.

Some would call me a coward and I wouldn’t blame them.
I let you get away and only I’m to blame.
Took a torch to my heart and I set it a flame.

One day I hope you find me, I’d thank fate so kindly.
So I could tell you how much I love you, and how I’d let you refine me.
But if you denied me I’d still feel sublimely, because I got to tell you.
How much I love you.

I love you and no matter how far apart you'll always belong to
my heart.
