Out The Window Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Out The Window

The dark rain falls
Some say it is a sanctuary
Some fear the deep caverns
Fog in the morning jungle
Soldiers tremble
Sorrow like a green alien
She is sweet but dangerous
She writes poetry sitting on my lap
Soldier on a burning pyre
A child with a helmet

Darkness between the eternal stars
Darkness like a clown crying
Darkness in Van Gogh’s ravens
We sit on the circle of the moon
Cubicles as lonely as a cage
Creative like a red sunset
Torn from the land the buffalo gone
The world a pawn
We write by windows of life
Out the window the darkness cries

Out the window the moonrises
