Our Precious Earth Poem by David Wood

Our Precious Earth

Rating: 4.9

Looking down on this planet as
The sun opens with a smile from
Moons dark night. Casting away
Those drab weary shadows.

Of billowing clouds and light soft
Airs. Of oceans depth and rolling
Waves. Of green fields of corn and
Lush meadows and sunflowers

Bathing in the sun's warm rays.
Of forests reaching towards the sky
And valleys and mountains riding high
Singing birds with swans on lakes.

Stags and deer prance their dance in
The Highlands. Stags locking horns
To win reluctant females, while now
Woolly sheep walk the hills of Wales.

Of seasons controlling natures way, of
Birth, life and death. Yet man has been
A poor gardener where the Earth is now
Struggling to survive. Will he ever learn?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The global market economy will be unsustainable when we factor in climate change, quantum computing and population growth. Something has to give.

Dear David, about your infection: antibiotics always work, unless you have had too much, then immunity appears. Ah! Antibiotics always heal an infection, be sure of that, it needs 7 days precize care. Wish you full recovery.5 Stars full

There are few good gardeners still, that's why the earth has survived so far. But surely, we need many more to nurture the vast Mother Earth.
