Our Late Sister, Jean Poem by Val JJ Gregory

Our Late Sister, Jean

We'll miss your smiling face
Your greetings from the train
Your trademark hugs and kisses
Sisters united once again.

We'll miss your little stories
About people, friends and such
Your wicked sense of humour
That creased us up so much.

We'll miss your loving kindness
Your 'say it like it is' ways
Your thoughtful words and gestures
On our good and our bad days.

We'll miss your many phone calls
To our homes from afar
Full of drama and entertainment
They lasted many an hour.

We'll miss your tales of travel
To places old and new
To Italy, Spain and Finland
The excitement shining through.

We'll miss you our eldest sister
Replacing dear Mum and Dad
Always caring about us
And the children you never had.

We'll miss you being around
We'll miss you through and through
We'll miss your thirst for life
We'll miss you being you!

Sleep tight, Jean.
With all our love forever xxx

I'M VERY SORRY TO HEAR THAT YOUR SISTER PAST AWAY, MY MOTHER PASSED AWAY WHEN I WAS 9 YEARS OLD, AND SHE IS THE PERSON WHO INSPIRED ME TO WRITE POEMS. AND I KNOW IT'S VERY HARD CAUSE I STILL FEEL THE PAIN LIKE IT HAPPENED YESTERDAY, I'M ALWAYS SAD. BUT I KNOW YOUR SISTER IS WITH ANGELS, AND VERY HAPPY, IN A BETTER WORLD FULL OF HAPPINESS. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR COMMENT. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
