Our Friendship Is Just On Hold Poem by Elphaba Thropp

Our Friendship Is Just On Hold

Our friendship is just on hold,
but I know it will renew.
We're too much a like.
We get along far too easily
to suddenly end out friendship
over who knows what.
I certainly don't.

Tho' I have ideas:
You think I'm annoying.
You think you've found 'better' friends.
'Truer' friends.
You don't think you need me.
But someday you will.
You're 'friends' won't be around to help you.
Whether it's advice,
or just someone to talk to.

When you come to me,
I should just ignore you.
Cast you aside like trash.
But you wanna know something?
I won't.
I won't ignore you.
I'll listen.
I'll become you're friend again.
You know why?
Because I know,

Our friendship is just on hold.
