Our French Restaurant



Across the table his mischievous eyes
Set off by sensuous smiles
And cheery dimples

In the dim candlelight

His voice deep caresses
Of rhythmic, husky tones
Eloquent and enunciated,

if not accented

His cheeky smile and warm tone
Feel like they are specially for me
A comfort in an unknown place

As are his hands, enclosing mine

Red wine is savoured, as our bodies sway to jazz trumpets
Holding my gaze,
He holds out his hand,

Lets dance.

The room disappears.
Warm breaths mingle
As fingers trace down my spine

to caress my curves

Brown eyes bore mine as I bite my bottom lip
Happy Anniversary My Darling
His head bends down to kiss it

Softly then more sensuously

Electricity explodes through my body
Every time
As every cell in it, suddenly,

Is one with his

I wrote this one pleasant evening after a scrumptious dinner that I was fortunate to spend with someone who is dear to me.

The events did not actually occur, but that is how my imagination wanted the night to play out....
