Our Baby Poem by KIRIT SHAH

Our Baby

Four letter words

Ideology n philosophy
Man strives for technology
Talk about the entire world
But live in cubicle
Trust no one Fear everyone
Smiling eyes n questioning mind
Social in group but running for his hoop
Wants what other have
Blames other when short changed
Peace, Peace craves for peace
Peace not on mountain top nor on beach
Four letter words is all that matter
Love conquers the fear, overcome the jitter
Love brings the peace all need.

Our Baby

Standing in front of casket
Staring thru stained glass
Mary mumbling in shaky voice
Honey our baby an angel in crib
The crib you built with love and care
Our baby felt heaven when she slept
Joe, in sleep she looks and smiles like angel
Joe put his hand on Mary and stuttered
Mary, our baby.... our baby. our baby
Is not... is not in crib, Mary
Our angel, our sweetie is in coffin
Screamed Mary, sobbing and shaking
Joe, I want my baby back my baby
Joe please get me my Sweetie back
Mary our angle not coming back
Bullets took our dream away
I dropped her at school
She never came back
Honey our baby has been take away

A sad and tragic story well articulated and nicely penned from the heart.
