Original Sin Poem by Dave Dafes

Original Sin

When the blossom spring yet abide
Vanquished by eventide,
I witness the day fled.
The curtains ruffled,
As the gentle wind blew upon my brow,
Partin' asunder the drapes in their row.
One window shut, the other eye open stood,
Cooed the birds in the wood.
Tellin' each other the gist,
Of the day's tryst.
On my bed I lay,
Fatigued by the festive day.
Relivin' the memory of the banquet dined
And the presents denied.
I heard the door unlock'd.
'Who is come, to disrupt my peace' I thought
Then came Daisy before me she stood.
Her beauty my sweet reverie it withstood
She turned on the stereo, then off, the light.
A cue of fun ‘n' a blissful night,
Wrapped in a silky robe, crimson as red wine.
Her ebony neck hid by her golden tresses twine.
My Birthday present stood before my gaze.
My heart raced with fervent pace.
All around I saw the candles burn.
As my desire churn,
She unleash the straps of her grown
To her feet it came sailin' down
Unveilin' her plumb nipples,
I could feel my heart ripples
The sublimity of her naked hides me it bade
Betrayed at the last, my struggle abrade
Her arms and shoulders gave an electrifyin' touch
The ferocious feeling locked away I avouch
How smooth a belly by a curvaceous waist adorn?
How magnificent her legs, that I sworn
Them crafted by the hand of the most skillful sculptor.
My blood boiled at the sight of such lusty tight.
Standing before my sight,
Caressed with her fingers my lips,
Buried I my head in her sacred burrow as I cling to her hips
How apt her breast I did suck, when down she stumble.
As all my muscle tremble.
Our moans rhythm
The stereos' melody rhyme
Envisage you the rest, beat, asleep we drifted
Entwined in each others' arms with passion abated
With chastity lost, I was into manhood initiated.
Then I prayed whatever gods may be
To grant me such birthday presents as this
The only present I got, on my 21st Birthday.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
12th of April, the day I was sired.
I recalled the birthdays that I've celebrated all through the years.
The memory of one had forever been engraved in my heart.
It was my 21st Birthday. Inspired by Ovid's Elegy,
I narrated the tale of how I was initiated into manhood at my coming of age.
This Elegy is an account of what transpired that night.
