Orgy Of Violence Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

It was an orgy of violence
I witnessed hate’s presence
Love for human being was missing
The death was everywhere kissing

The rally for organized for some demands
The people were in streets as if with plans
“Meet with our wishes” or face the consequences
No one wanted to take the chance

The peace was looking like distant probability
Whole of armed forces were on alert in sensitive localities
The crowd was so far manageable
But the situation was so much volatile

Entire state was taken to ransom
As if there lied wisdom
With forceful imposition of perception
The government was blamed for inaction

In any democratic set up.the will of people is supreme
It comes out in the form volcano or sun beam
No one can control once it goes out of hand
The class struggle seemed the only end

The loss of public property was immense
Many innocent people were in tears
Their property and vehicles were burnt
The hooligans were seen in open out to destroy

Ten people lost their lives
No one could believe
How come such things can be allowed?
When teachings of non-violence is strictly followed
