One Thousand Miles Poem by Surya Pratap Singh

One Thousand Miles

This is what that has stamped upon my mind,
Slowly and slowly to keep playing you on rewind,
And now,
Falling freely,
Upon you my mistress, my heart is
But I am here,
Watching a movie, stuck in theatre,
My mind races to reach you,
But the end of the day,
I am lying upon my bed with lines few,
I try to create a poem, or lyrics,
But I toss and turn upon the bed alone, miss,
A wish to have you,
As night has day,
And for happiness, sadness we pay,
A long run, to a lengthy way,
And one thousand miles,
To see you again
