One By One
Darling mine, find them,
the petals, golden and precious,
folding on the flower of love,
gather them and hold them,
one by one, watch them shine
as love is the light,
steady and bright,
the lamp within my soul
making the flower grow as a star
to shine on your way
each petal a touch of love
to watch over you
as the angels from above
