Once Upon A Time And Not So Very Long Ago Poem by Roxanne Dubarry

Once Upon A Time And Not So Very Long Ago

"Once upon a time and not so very long ago."
There was beautiful princess and a handsome
young prince loved. With all of his heart
mind and soul.

But deep within her heart, the princess
only fell in love with all golden things.
Her heart was as hard as glittering
diamonds in the snow. She was proud
and as vain as she could be. She
was incapable of returning any man's
captive heart. She only loved herself!

The prince vainly tried to win her love.
In the deepest dark despair he tried
to use his purest refined gold to
win her fickle heart." My darling how
often have I tried to win your stony heart.
"But alas I have failed! What a miserable
wretched man I am! "

The prince pointed his silver sword at his heart,
deep within. Before he cried out! "You will forever
be throughout all of the eons of eternity. A
beautiful proud and vain golden statue. And I swear
by all of my patron saints, " Upon my untimely demise,
I shall join you by becoming a manly golden statue! "

Love as always,
