On Wuthering Heights Poem by Warren Atherton

On Wuthering Heights

Rating: 5.0

'Tireless sleep, I hear her weep
Across dark plains in her lonesome keep.
So far away her soul in dismay
Where echoing moans keep Cathy at bay.'

I'll fly like the breeze across all the seas,
Endlessly on, for her heart to appease.
A sad moon shines across the windy moor,
On to her rescue, break open deaths' door.
There we'll entwine, one essence refine.
One pure light mere words can't define,
And harrowing nights with their fiendish sights,
Will reap the wild wind on Wuthering Heights.

oh, I agree. Wuthering Heights is just waiting for poetical prose... and you've done such a good job of it too. The tones, the words...

A fine poem on Wuthering Heights; the language and descriptions are well chosen.
