On Seeing The Sun After Many Days Poem by Arnav Penrhythm

On Seeing The Sun After Many Days

Left to myself on endless night
Craved I inside for the morn
The wind whispered my unspoken fright
Fear, I stay shalt forlorn

The moon was there, high above
Christening star on night chandelier
The birds warm in tree alcoves
Eyes of mine, in gaze fear

The screen of night to pass
If it will? For the sun awaits
The sun, who is my bonny lass
A glance for me eyes, it’s late

I fall deep into mother lull
With a wish for the sun to wake
Whose rays me flower cull
Kisseth my eyes, and happy make

The day did come. Whistling by
The wind did caress my eyes. And
The morn did rise, in cry I
Served my love on her hand

On seeing the sun after many days
My heart was fumed in bliss and smiles
Cupid soundeth the ageless brays
Of sweet love, doth me it beguiles

It is like the touch of light
Enlightens that a soul so lost
It is like the kiss of might
That shivers can a heart so frost

It is like, the morn dew
That slides down from nature’s arm
And drops like love, o’er few
Who art knows what beauty’s charm

It is the song of the nightingale
That soothes an ear defunct. And
It is heaven’s sweet vale
Where rose blooms e’er, upon painless sand

It is more, more than words be
Able to suffice, in worthy ink?
For my love, bonny lass of me
Is aught but elixir, for me to drink

So now, let me fall to lull
Again. As the sun is far away
For it to come, me flower cull
As I’ll see my sun one more day….
