On Rocky Grounds Poem by Catrina Heart

On Rocky Grounds

Rating: 4.7

at the edge of sight
firmament kisses the sea
sea reaching to the skies
entwined in each lark

at dawn or dusk,
where both hate to unite
at birth or death,
where two would never bond

in autumn or spring;
like drought and flood
reverie and reality
meander rocky grounds

I like the artistic construction which is unusual, and adds to the beauty. (smile)

Your poetic lines though appearimg to look rather simple - have deep philosophic treasures buried in them - which set me thinking! Between birth and death there is no bonding ! Yet both are necessary like sun and shade! For without death - life will lose its meaning! What you say about reverie and reality is also true! Perhaps our entire existence is like a 'reverie', and death is the only 'reality' -at the end! Yet many dream of an after-life and a rebirth! Perhaps dreams are also necessary for human existence! For your poem 10 + -Raj Nandy
