Like a magic spell it takes you afar
Beyond infinite insight horizons
Or arcane depths underneath the Earth
It mercilessly besieges your mind
Questioning, demanding, begging to get inside
Luring you to unexplored labyrinths of
Words words words
Written erased rewritten deleted
Till they transform into firing arrows
A shot of elixir for a quenching heart
Notes, smudges, crumbled papers scattered around
In the house, at the café by the river
Under the orange tree in the yard
Sweet surrender when mind yields
Butterflies and demons together
As heartfelt thoughts
Become a poetic string.
