Lessons we as children learn
While seated by our parents' knee,
Become guideposts for the deeds
Performed by us, their sacred progeny.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The inspiration for this poem is actually from my reflective thoughts formed while searching for an appropriate epitaph that I might add to their grave marker. I don't feel this poem is appropriate as an epitaph, but I do believe it may have merit as a simple poetic message.
