On New Year's Eve Poem by Karen Edwards

On New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve, it's bright and clear,
a gathered crowd lets out a cheer.
Balloons released, confetti flies
and fireworks light up the skies.
the past is gone, the future's here.

Resolve to treat life as a prize,
to faults and foibles make goodbyes,
a fresh new start is very near,
on New Year's Eve.

Embrace the change, don't fret, don't fear,
though your new path may be unclear.
As seasons flow and plans revise
you'll meet the struggles that arise,
and look back, laugh and shed a tear,
on New Year's Eve
