On New Year's Eve Poem by Paul Wilson

On New Year's Eve

On new year's eve
The tension snaps within me
Because I know the truce includes me.

And the snow lies white before me:
Santa Clause believes in me
Although the cause eludes me.

All children, play for me.
All saints, pray for me.
