On my way to a house Poem by Els Moors

On my way to a house

on my way to a house
where a cat is waiting for me it's muggy
my lungs groan under the weight of
tiles floors and then some rocks

the arrow I passionately allowed
the pre-condition of my unabating
ecstasy or the way the summer
glides high inside me

an evening meal of lukewarm
cherry tomatoes heated up by the sun
and sardines hardboiled eggs
I use to dab my eyes

legs I use to squat over the saucer of milk
the words wide and
my finger deep
