On How You Think Poem by Francis Duggan

On How You Think

So you believe that life on you is tough
Though you are one who has never slept rough
Or even lived without food for a day
You become your thoughts in your case true to say
You have never been homeless or known of prolonged pain
Yet of your hard life you do like to complain
Our thoughts can become our reality
And some become victims of mind poverty
Though financially you are doing quite okay
You are a poor one in another way
That poverty has many forms is only true
And i only can say i do not envy you
Your poverty it is all in your mind
On how you think to your self you are not kind.
