On Boredom Poem by Garret Raja

On Boredom

Once upon my childhood's time,
Boredom struck, a feeling sublime.
I loved sweets with all my might,
But soon enough, they lost their light.

I craved salty snacks instead,
Leaving sugary treats unread.
But after months, the tide did change,
Sweet cravings returned, feeling strange.

The reason behind this peculiar game,
Is that we desire what we can't claim.
When we have too much of one thing,
Boredom creeps in, like a silent sting.

Our brain seeks newness to excite,
Dopamine craves a fresh invite.
So if you find yourself feeling bored,
Try something different, be restored.

Think of nature's cycle, its rhythmic sway,
Four seasons take turns in their own way.
The land rotates crops to keep them alive,
In varied interests, our spirits thrive.

Remember, it's okay to change your aim,
To shift your focus without any shame.
Boredom comes when things stay the same,
Find new pursuits, kindle the flame.

Even though it may seem quite odd,
You'll need what you once thought flawed.
Boredom happens when the same things repeat,
So dress your life with variety, sweet.

Like a cup of coffee that loses its kick,
Keep rotating, exploring, seeking the pick.
With diverse interests, boredom will fade,
A vibrant life awaits, no longer swayed.
