On A Platform Poem by Anthony J. O.

On A Platform

Rating: 4.3

I envy the wind
Travelling with no conscience.
I’m aware of the path
But not of its essence,
Aware of the past
And of its existence,
But not of the future
And its admittance.

I think of the journey
And where it may take me.
Can it carry me
Or will it break me?
Will the signs guide me
Or will they forsake me?
Will I ever arrive
And do so safely?

I sit and I ponder
What else can be done?
I’m not sure what it is
But something’s begun.
I’ll follow the moon
‘Fore I’ll follow the sun.
I’m tired of waiting,
Now I’m starting to run.
