Old Before Your Time (Don't Wanna Be) Poem by Peter Strugnell

Old Before Your Time (Don't Wanna Be)

Rating: 5.0

No place to run, no place to hide,
Oh how the bright lights shine,
all the bad news, I let it slide,
don't wanna be old before my time.

This is where I am & what I wanna do,
I just want to play all the time,
we shall never be, you and me,
sad and old before our time

There's a life out there, a life to choose,
How can people be so blind,
I just ain't got that time to lose,
don't wanna be old before my time.

I've worked my fingers to the bone,
I think I've paid all my fines,
someone pass me my megaphone,
don't wanna be OLD BEFORE MY TIME!

Way up high where the sky is wide,
I hope they will hang this sign,
Here lies a man never sanitized,
and never old before his time.

Thank you Don Kubicki for taking the time to read and comment, thanks for pointing out the error, I've gone back and corrected it. It should read " don't wanna be old before my time" , (if I can help it)
