Oh Youth Poem by Jackson Worth

Oh Youth

Oh Youth

Oh youth, oh youth, did I feel you again,
On that night when the wind licked my skin?
Did you touch me and tell me, to the girls did you sell me
And speed up my heart from within?

Oh youth, oh youth did you taste the wine too
As it hit me and played with my mind?
Did you kiss her red lips and hold tight to her hips
And all the right words did you find?

Oh youth oh youth, did you hear all the sounds
That the dance floor decided to play?
Did you dance to the rhythm in drunken oblivion
‘Till night died and light said its day?

Oh youth oh youth did you see all that light
And the dusk and the dawn and the night?
Did you save all your blinks ‘till you sleep and you think
I’ve had youth in my blood stream today?
