Oh! Why Does Jesus Love Me? Poem by Roxanne Dubarry

OH! Why does Jesus love me?
And He loves me before I ever
loved Him! For He knew me
and loved me before the
beginning of the foundation
of the world! He knew that
I would be able to return
His love for even me!
And how I love Him so!

OH! Jesus loves me and He
knighted my inward parts
together, October 1954,
in my mother's womb!
He was there when I
first cried as a new born
baby. He was there all
of the time I accepted
His free gift of love!

OH! He was there at
my tender years age
of only nine years old!
He knows the first
day and hour when
I first became saved!
And mother dear,
even though you are no
longer here on earth!

I was not saved at
the age of thirteen but
at the age of nine! And
not at the age of eleven
years old either! Both
you and Jesus kept
careful track of my
redemption! God
is blessing you now!
