Oh Poetry! Poem by Sandra Feldman

Oh Poetry!

Oh Poetry, Poetry,
From whence doth cometh, thou?
Are you the spirit of the gods,
That did survive, somehow?
Are you their language, sweet and deep?
Mythology's transition,
That prints the world anew, somehow,
With gods, temples and visions.

Perhaps poetry is the lost language of the gods. Aphrodite and Loki. Ares and Echo. Love, mischief, war and ego. Exalting the sublime virtues of nature, laughing at the ridiculous.

Poetry is sweet and deep! ! With the muse of love and life. Nice work.
