Off The Cuff Poem by Jimmy Inlow

Off The Cuff

I delved into your profile, sensitive soul

You reveal so much it makes me shake

Like that first touch, the moment before that first kiss

Something's happening it's palpable as real as this floor beneath my feet.

It beckons.

Dare I open my hidden self - can I trust myself when it says trust her?

Glimpses of sadness moisten my eyes, I want to harm the things that caused you harm, cut the sorrow, not the limbs.

I can't not risk, I must be true there's a part of me falling into you.
