Of The Rare Few Poem by Francis Duggan

Of The Rare Few

Rating: 5.0

It is not saying anything that is in any way that is new
That the millionaire writers are of the rare few
So many young writers who daydream of literary fame
As writers will never become a great name
It is only the literary winners we hear of and of read about
On literary fortune and fame many writers destined to lose out
For every literary millionaire there are so many who
Do not see their dreams of literary fame come true
In literature as in all things of life the losers are many and the winners are few
And this is not saying anything that is new
Many writers daydream of becoming a great literary name
But few ever do know of literary wealth and fame
There are far more losers than winners in life every day
This is how life is and will always be this way.
