Ode To Heaven And Earth. Poem by Roxanne Dubarry

Ode To Heaven And Earth.

Rating: 5.0

Ode to heaven and earth.
God sent his only begotten Son
To be conceived by the Holy Spirit.
To earth as an infant in the womb
Of a young virgin girl, Mary.
The Word of God became flesh into
Order to dwell upon God's created
Earth.

He was born of the kingly
Tribe of Judah. And was of the
House of King David. On both
Sides of his earthly family tree.

A heavenly angel was sent unto certain
Shepherds guarding their flocks by
Night. Suddenly the heavenly hosts.
Appeared in the evening's sky.

Proclaiming, "Glory to God in the
Highest and peace on earth goodwill
Towards men." They told him they
Would find the infant, wrapped in
Swaddling clothes and lying in a manger!

They went to witness this glorious heavenly
Gift of God to all men and women who
Dwell upon the face of the earth.
They worshiped him and went on their
Way. And spread the good news of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ!

The wise men came from the east, and many
Believe came from Media Persia or Babylon
They claim there were, "Three Kings of Orient
Are bearing gifts they travel afar."
Because of the prophet Daniel taught
The Wise men of his generation.

There could have been more than three.
But they were counting the wise men
By the gifts they did bring to worship
The newborn King! They saw his star
Shining in the east. They entered Judah.

Where they were escorted into the presence
Of the evil and jealous king Herod. Who lied
About wanting to worship Jesus when he wanted
To murder him. Because he thought Jesus was
After his earthly throne!

The wise men came and brought there gifts. Gold,
Francoise and Myrrh. They were warned in a dream
To go to their kingdoms by a different route.
When Herod discovered the betrayal of the wise men.

He quickly dispatched his troops into the land of
Bethlehem. They were ordered to kill all the male
Infants two years old and younger. Joseph was
Also warned in a dream to take the young mother
And child into the land of Egypt. Where they
Remained until the death of King Herod.

"Out of the land of Egypt I have called my son."
His family decided to settle in the land of
Nazareth. It was where Jesus was raised from
A young boy to manhood. He was known as Jesus
Of Nazareth. People were indemnified by the
Region they originated and/or came from!
