October Celebrations Poem by Marilyn Lott

October Celebrations

What a wonderful month it is
There are so many different feels
The weather changing is one thing
I love earthy warm sweet smells.

The trees are red, gold and yellow
They brighten up each day
Get your camera out, my friend
Because you know that they won't stay.

They fly loftily in the air so sweet
In the cool October breeze
I love to put my face to the wind
I don't care if it makes me sneeze.

But now we start to see the next on
A celebration for kids and adults too
Halloween is huge in all our worlds
I'll bet it is the same for you.

Pumpkins, scarecrows, witches too
We see them everywhere we look
Pumpkin pies and spooky cookies
And so much for Thanksgiving to cook.

Oh yes, it is a joyful time of year for sure
It's like we are having fun vacations
So many exciting things there is to plan
With our October celebrations!
