When I moved in I noticed that
Near my window there be a tree,
And with one branch close enough at,
Allowing me this spring to see
A bunch of you come budding out,
Bringing forth such a fresh new scene,
A pleasure watching you no doubt,
As all of you enlarged in green.
And through the summer, day by day,
I watched you all each hold your own,
As with the breezes you'd all sway.
From green you turned to yellow tone.
My leaves, I have enjoyed you all.
Now one by one, I watch you fall.
