Oceans Poem by Lorraine Margueritte Gasrel Black

Oceans

Rating: 5.0

Your waters churn within
The sirens sing of your soul
Sand accepts life's prints
Your sprites erase their own

The denizens of your keep
Flow to faraway shores
Garlands and booty remain
Testimony to your roar

Drifting along the beach
As the sea birds soar
Left behind your jewels
Claimed as you've claimed more.

The sirens sing of your soul ................................................ I did not see ocean there is no time, but I adore the black sea... I feel that sorcery which only can give ocean... It is fine poems, , , Lora, From my 10. Best wishes, Tsira

We lived near the Pacific Ocean at the time I wrote the poems for my book. For some reason salt sea air and rainbows always inspire me.I also noticed that my moods were affected by the phase of the Moon and Moonsign-I'm into astrology- so sometimes my poems are simply written and other times they are more heavily worded.I'm really glad I found poemhunter.com so that I can share the poems from my book which now is a very rare printing and the only one done in 1984.
