Ocean Of Secrets Poem by Sindhu Kapur

Ocean Of Secrets

My heart is an ocean of secrets
With diverse web of life underneath
What is evident is simply the surface
Camouflaged is what's beneath

The shimmer and colour are all superficial
It is dark deep down in the abyss
In one corner is the lively soul
And in one corner is the dangerous debris

If you want to make an entry into my heart,
Its tides you must be equipped to encounter
Some could be wild and embrace you to death
While some could your existence alter

My heart is an ocean of secrets
With diverse web of life underneath
Would you be my sun, my moon
And sway my tides to motions rhythmic?
