Obsessed Poem by Bill Hallsworthy

Obsessed

I have seen pain, I have seen hate,
I have seen tears, have I seen straight?
or had my judgement been clouded?
shrouded in mist, dead in the head,
its you I miss,
addicted, obsessed, I'll confess,
the right words haven't been said,
I'm a mess, I beg,
I need a leg up,
but she says, you suck,
your out of luck,
and I've found someone new to truck,
so truck off,
you'll never have another chance with me,
and I sit here quietly,
thinking its hard to believe,
that I had a chance in the first place,
that I was the only runner in the race,
if i had won, wouldn't i know?
wouldn't my success try to show?
to tell me where to go,
but I have no idea,
I just feel the fear,
rolling down my face in the form of tears.
