Of Muses And Other Ghosts

(7 march 1988)

O Straina

Cati s-au infruptat din tine,
ai ramas ca un cotor de mar,
nesperat de apetisant
pentru ochii mei lihniti.

Agatata de soare cu brate goale
subtiri ca de ceara
iti asezi visele intr-un sarut
ce mi-l pui pe buze, speriata
sa nu fac si eu la fel
sa musc si sa plec.

Arunci cerul asupra mea,
iti tarasti parul blond pe fata mea
dar ti-e frica sa ma lasi sa te ating
asa ca te imbraci,
deschizi usa,
si pleci,
iar eu, iau stiloul si scriu
si scriu
si scriu
incercand sa nu dau vina pe tine
ca inima-mi e in cosul de gunoi.

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
