*Another Way To Make Love


I've been
too ashamed to tell the truth,
to tell you that I love you,
and now, instead of the ocean
it is the snow that keeps me
somewhere else.

Maybe sometime
we will find another way
to make love to each other,
a kinder way
that won't require
a page and a pen.
