O Mother My Mama Poem by Quir Diing Jr.

O Mother My Mama

Dear, mama
Oh! Mum
O, mother
What should I do to you
My beloved mama?
As I remember
The wonderful types of foods
You gave me in your womb
I remember their tastes
I kicked you for nine months
And you forgave me
You refuse to abort me
In the daring hardship of the warring nation
And I thanked you mother.

You laboured for me mother
I caused you pain during birth
And you did not disowned me
Nine good months in the womb
Two good years of breast feeding
Me
O, mum, my mother
What do you deserve?

As war destroys mother
You struggled as bullets
Mive along with the winds
As you dodged them
And you made sure I ate
Something
And keep me alive to see
Another day
And here I see the future
My beloved mother.
As I remember
The year one thousand
Nine hundred and ninety seven famine,
In another man’s land
You passed me via the
Rebel land
Hid me like a credit card
And making sure
I don’t cry to be heard
And be killed.
You covered me with
Your only blanket
As you struggle with
The highland cold.
Thank you my beloved
Mummy,
I promise not to disappoint you.

Then you said,
Education for my child
And you took me to school
Another prison of struggle
And learned I was
But if I could have failed
How disappointed could you felt mama?
O, mummy
I will never disappoint you
And I promise
To pay you for everything
I love you mama.
