O Father, Your Sons Can (To Sheikh Mujibur Rahman) Poem by Gazi Mohammad Arif

O Father, Your Sons Can (To Sheikh Mujibur Rahman)

Rating: 5.0

Glance with the amorous eyes
And have a long breathe here, O Father.
You will have your Sonar Bangla free,
With unchained fragrance of flowers on tree.

Don't shed tears, O father
Your sons now can speak
Can speak out for the legal rights
And can let all dangers face as one
To break the hands of evil nights.

Don't worry, O Father
Your sons can merge with the world
Your striving eyes,
Your sons can wipe the tears
When your poor son cries.

Don't worry, dear Father,
Don't worry at all,
Sleep! Sleep in Heaven in peace
And just stir again when we must call.
