Nuclear Blue Poem by Toru Uemura

Nuclear Blue

Rating: 5.0

Nuclear Blue
Cruelly new;
Stunned by view
Sharing few.

Nuclear Blue
Cruelly new;
Youthful dew
Said their 'Adieu! '

Suicide renewed,
Homicide grew,
Genocide stew...
Mouth-shut view.

Nuclear Blue
Cruelly new;
This is new
Point of view:

Puritan’s pew
Pakistani issue
An Iraqi threw
Furious shoe...(or, War-torn shoe...)
Presidents renew
World wide view?

Clerk and crew
Clicked one cue!
Then wind blew
All of you...

Nuclear Blue
Cruelly new;
Stunned by view
Known by few...

Nuclear blew...
Nuclear blew...

*These lines had been written some years ago while I was in Okinawa, seeing repeatedly the profound works of Mr Takashi Morizumi, a Japanese photo journalist. The words 'Nuclear Blue' came from his work. The cool, almost silent sounds of such a couple of words made me so much inspired that I started to make a difference in writings. After being uncompleted for some years, I did it tonight and now publish them. They may be rewritten in the future for I am not yet sure whether this is perfected or not.
